[ASTRO] I'm young again!

I bucked up my courage and my age denial and went to the Seattle show.
Fortunately for me, MOA? was apparently experimenting with a new
invisible youth-a-tron-ray device, which seems to have worked quite
well.

The show was totally awesome. Somehow this show really recaptured the
excitement that my very first MOA? show in 1996 had. I know 1996 wasn't
that long ago, and I wasn't young then either, but both MOA? and I
have been through a lot since then and it _does_ seem like a long
time ago. It is nice to know that some of the good things didn't
change, like MOA? being the funnest band in the world to see live.

Someone on the list had mentioned the "homo-erotic overtones" of
the Coco/Blazar double-bass performance. Now that I have seen it, I
guess I know what they meant. I wouldn't worry too much, they were both
wearing (warning: incoming punchline)... "impregnable jumpsuits".
Get it? Amazing how many bad puns and innuendos can be milked from
just two words. These are the kinds of things that I come up with
while trying to stay awake on the drive home from Seattle.

The show was and RKCNDY, which is somewhere I've never been to before.
Better sound than the Portland clubs, but rather murky lighting,
much like Satyricon in Portland.

To my relief, but probably somewhat to the disappointment of MOA?
and the other bands, the crowd in Seattle was much more mild-mannered.
The lack of alcohol being served probably had a lot to do with that.

Sorry for the lack of any more details about the show itself.
Now that I have fresh Astro-source-material, I'm planning
a major update/upgrade of my Astro-site, which will include a more
detailed account of this show, plus snapshots from the video I
shot, and hopefully some more 3D anaglyphs, if the shots I took
came out OK.

Happily signing back on to the club scene,

Mookie
