Hey, you just named both of my favorite authors. I'm also very fond
of Carl Hiassen (spelling?). I grew up on the Henlein juveniles, but
find his "adult" fiction to be embarassingly adolescent. Oh, and
lest I forget: Mark Twain Rules!

There are quite a few books I am very fond of from authors who don't
have a compelling body of work as a whole. For example "Sphere" by
Crichton is a masterpiece, but I can't say I'm a fan because of crap
like "The Lost World". Clancy has his moments, but is highly overrated.
I don't want to start reading King, because I'm afraid I might not
stop.

Mookie
