Actually, "Davey and Goliath" was made by Art Clokey, the same guy who
made "Gumby".  I actually kinda liked the show, because it was something
on Sunday morning besides preachers.  Oh sure, it was sort of preachy
in it's own way, but it was fairly subtle about it as far as we little
kids could tell, and it was _animated_.

Gerry Anderson was sort of Britain's version of Irwin Allen. In addition
to his marionette shows, he also made bad but nonetheless strangely 
loveable live action TV shows as well, such as "UFO" and "Space: 1999".
When I was in those key pre and early teen years, "Space: 1999" was the
only Space/Sci-fi kind of show in current production, so I was kind of
forced to like it out of desparation.

My favorite Gerry Anderson production is the relatively recent "Space
Precinct".  It is still playing anywhere?  Does anyone know where I can
get tapes?  I'm thinking of going to the big "Breakaway" Space: 1999
convention in LA this September, and maybe there will be merchandise and
tapes for other Gerry and Sylvia Anderson shows.
