This is where the beginning and the end of the process of creating an MST3K episode takes place. Movies come in and are edited and timecoded before they are viewed by the writers. After shooting, this is where the final editing and sound mixing are done. Audio post-production is particularly challenging for MST3K, requiring a delicate balance between the movie and Mike and the Bots. On top of this, the movies themselves often have audio problems which they must attempt to minimize.
